Sandra McLellan

FCIPD, Founder/Director

With nearly 30 years of specialist expertise in driving HR initiatives at major household names such as Dixon’s Stores Group, Hilton Hotels and Radisson Hotels, Sandra is skilled in managing HR functions while keeping a commercial focus.

Since launching hr inspire in 2012, Sandra has built the business to become the partner of choice for over 100 customers, including big brands such as Amazon, Virgin Active and Royal Voluntary Service.

Suzanne Hurndall

Relationship Director

Suzanne is hr inspire’s Relationship Director, supporting to deliver an exceptional customer experience, alongside providing expert HR knowledge and insight via our HRD Round Table series. With specialist expertise in leadership, change management, strategy, acquisition, workplace culture, transformation and discrimination.

Along with her experience in the HR sector, Suzanne has in-depth knowledge of the hospitality, private equity and retail sectors. She also works as CEO for hospitality and commercial property business, Clarenco, and has held senior positions as Board Director for Dreams, The Red Group and DSGi Business.

Jacqui O’Callaghan

MCIPD, Senior HR/ER Consultant

Graduating with a first-class honours in business administration and human resources management, Jacqui has over fifteen years’ of HR experience.
Working across a wide variety sectors, including Care, Manufacturing and Retail, Jacqui has overseen, advised and supported on all areas of HR.

“I love the variety of customers I am able to support, providing advice across such a wide ranging HR spectrum! And of course, working alongside a lovely team in beautiful Tring is a bonus.”

Peter Campbell

HR Consultant

Peter is a very experienced HR professional having previously worked for a large retail company for over 12 years has been involved of all areas of HR from recruitment and training, HR management and employee relations.

Throughout Peter’s career he has been involved in creating a positive working climate with high levels of job satisfaction and morale. Peter has a great passion for developing and implementing fit for purpose HR plans, policies and systems.

Beverley Sunderland

Employment Lawyer, Associate

Top ranked in Chambers’ Guide and Elite status in Legal 500, Beverley draws on her experience from thirty years in the law, as well as her time as a Commercial Director for a PLC and also as in-house lawyer.

Kevin Charles

Consulting Barrister, Associate

Kevin was called to the Bar in 1996. Having completed his pupillage and qualified as a barrister, Kevin spent several years in industry working as in-house counsel, where he advised predominately corporate clients across the full range of employment law and industrial relations and represented clients in employment tribunals across the country.

Paula Hawkins

FCIPD, Associate

Having over 15 years in the industry Paula loves HR and working with businesses to achieve their objectives whether that is increased employee performance or a change in the company culture.

Ann Miller

Experienced HR and Change Leader within Public and Private sectors. Operating as an HR advisor, Ann is a passionate people leader motivated by unlocking the potential of people, teams and organisations through teamwork and collaboration.

Jack Nolan

HR Officer

Jack joined the team in 2020 as a HR Intern, supporting his studying Business Management at Plymouth University. After successfully completing a placement year at hr inspire to develop his business and office knowledge, Jack graduates with a Masters in HR in 2022.

hr inspire are delighted to have supported Jack’s career progression and he now holds the role of HR Officer.

Anna Brooks

MCIPD, HR Consultant Project Manager

With more than fifteen years’ HR experience, predominantly in professional services, Anna has worked in a range of HR managerial roles. Anna has expertise in shared services, business partnering, consulting and HR transformation, in which she has run HR projects implementing HR systems, setting up teams and re-engineering processes.

Anna has a particular interest in HR transformation and process design.

Joy Collison

An experienced HR Business Partner and Employee Relations Manager, with FCIPD qualification and a broad generalist base.
She is an excellent coach and her relationship building skills help support managers of all levels to deliver people plans.

Emma Johnson

MCIPD, ICF, CPP, Associate

Emma is a fully qualified HR Consultant with over 20 years’ experience, within hospitality, leisure, and retail. With a solid generalist background, Emma has worked as a business partner at a Senior Level for a number of years, involved in change of management, employee relations, and organisational restructures. Emma is currently studying to acquire an LLB.

Helen Kenny

CIPD, HR Consultant

Helen has extensive experience of Employee Relations, Change Management and Business Partnering at a high level within the hospitality, manufacturing and leisure industries.
Helen is passionate about people development and has a very professional approach whilst maintaining her boundless sense of humour and relaxed manner.

Cheryl Ounsworth

Cheryl is a motivated and diligent HR professional with strong people facing skills and a real passion for the profession. An advocate of HR strategy and performance initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness, Cheryl is CIPD qualified with a full range of generalist HR skills.

Sally Ward

MCIPD, HR Reward Consultant

An experienced HR Professional with a strong Retail, Distribution and Financial Services background. Sally has 21 years’ HR experience, with the last 18 years as a Reward specialist.

She is experienced in the design and implementation of reward solutions to attract, motivate and retain; and uses her expertise to support us with senior level recruitment, searching for great candidates for ‘hard to fill’ vacancies and all things ‘Reward’

Kate Shanks

HR Consultant

Kate Shanks is a confident and highly professional with over 20 years’ experience within the HR environment and 15 years working at management level. During this time Kate has had practical experience in the effective management of an HR function and ad-hoc projects including business start ups, organisational restructures including recruitment and redundancy, performance, absence and change management.

Jo Corcoran

HR Services Manager

Having successfully completed her Masters degree in HR Management, Jo is an Associate member of the CIPD with over 16 years of experience in the HR industry working the majority of which in the health care sector. Jo specialises in ER and has experience working with case work from a shared services function.

Anna Arthur

With over 16 years in the HR industry Anna is a well experienced HR/ER Advisor. Spending most of her career in the Education Management sector Anna has an excellent in depth understanding of some of the most challenging HR & ER aspects.

With great knowledge which spans all areas of HR with interest in employee wellbeing and employee performance management.

Sabrina Menzies

HR Administrator

An organised, conscientious and positive member of the hr inspire team, Sabrina started as our HR & Training Coordinator before progressing to become an HR Administrator. Sabrina has collaborated across many areas of the business, coordinating H&S and CPC training, now she assists with HR Administration and recruiting perfect candidates for our customers.

Charlotte Roberts

HRIS Manager

Charlotte joined the team as an HR/ER Advisor with over 10 years of experience before developing to become an HRIS Manager. Charlotte possesses a wealth of experience and knowledge with a keen passion in HR policies, succession planning and recruiting.

With previous experience in a large oil and energy company, Charlotte is used to a fast paced working environment and resolving various types of HR challenges. Charlotte has a great passion and enjoyment in keeping up to date with the latest news and trends in HR.

Mel Kapadia

HR Advisor

Mel is a qualified Associate Member of the CIPD, practicing in a generalist role as HR Advisor at hr inspire.

With a solid background in general administration, office and business management, corporate finance and more recently, GDPR policy and process, Mel brings a wealth of experience to the hr inspire team and of course to our valued customers.

Cheryl Carr

HR Consultant

Cheryl has extensive HR generalist experience.  From restructures to TUPE, HR lifecycle to Employee Relations, Cheryl has seen  and delivered it all both within the Public & Private sector.
Cheryl is passionate about all things people and supporting businesses to deliver their plans through building strong teams and cultures.

Ambitious and passionate. Operating and delivering at a senior level. Adept at creating strategic alliances with leaders and business owners to effectively align with, and support key business initiatives.  Excellent at building and retaining high performing teams by hiring, onboarding, developing and motivating talented individuals.

Office Administrator

Sam boasts a wealth of Customer Service experience across different industries & sectors, taking pride in strong service skills, benefiting both hr inspire colleagues and customers. An integral member of our team, Sam provides comprehensive and proficient administration and project support across hr inspire.

Megan Austin

HR Administrator

Megan has recently completed her Masters in Management with Human Resources, as well as having an undergraduate degree in Business with Human Resources. Also a member of the CMI (Chartered Management Institute) since 2019. Megan has a wealth of experience in retail, HR administration and Payroll services. Megan’s HR background consists of systems and absence management, as well as implementing learning culture(s) within an organisation.

Eleanor Abel

Recruitment Co-ordinator

Eleanor joined the team in 2022. Having successfully completed an apprenticeship in Recruitment Resourcing, Eleanor developed a keen interest in HR and is qualified at CIPD Level 5. Eleanor has over 4 years’ experience in Recruitment and HR with an excellent adaptable and result driven approach for optimum efficiency and effectiveness.

Dan Lang

HR Co-ordinator

Dan Lang joined the team in June 2022, he is our HR Coordinator.

Dan is looking to progress his career in HR by studying for his CIPD Level 5 alongside benefiting from a variety of experience at hr inspire.

Dan completes a wide variety of tasks for our customers from onboarding to daily administration and offers support for the lifecycle of HR.

Vaneeta Denis

HR Officer

Vaneeta joined the team in 2022, she is one of our wonderful HR officers.

Vanetta has an extensive analytic background as well as managerial experience within the public transport industry. At hr inspire Vaneeta offers support with the lifecycle of HR and system configuration.

Sarah Downs

Accounts Manager

After 13 years as a Nurse in the NHS, Sarah decided 6 years ago to study for her AAT Diploma in Accounting. She now successfully provides us the benefit of her skills with our accounting processes.
Sarah’s approach to making sure that “no stone is left unturned” in balancing our books ensures we constantly thrive to ensure our customers get great value for money!

Marketing Assistant

Gabrielle joined us in 2022 as our Marketing Assistant. After successfully completing a joint honors degree in Journalism and Creative Writing, Gabrielle is looking forward to progressing her career in Marketing.

Gaining experience across various aspects of Marketing, Gabrielle supports hr inspire’s Marketing department from the initial point of contact of customer’s to the running of our Public Relations.
